WHERE NATURE MEETS MATERIAL

In 2016, I came back from a trip to a volcanic island with a few stones in my backpack.
At the time, I had no idea what I would do with them.

They stayed with me for years, until one of those stones became the tool I used to create my first texture on porcelain.
That simple gesture is where Volcano began.

Materials

WHAT ARE THEY MADE OF?

White Limoges porcelain or black porcelain, chosen as a reference to the colour of volcanic rock.

Crafting & finishes

HOW ARE THEY MADE?

Each piece begins with slip casting. Once the porcelain reaches the right consistency, I create every single trace by hand.

Finally, a matte finish enhances the surface, allowing light and shadow to reveal the depth of the texture.

The imprint

WHAT MAKES THEM UNIQUE?

The imprint is created using a volcanic stone collected during that journey in 2016.

A natural mark that meets porcelain, transforming its surface and leading to a new exploration of the relationship between nature and material.

Volcano brings a strong material presence into everyday spaces, shaped by irregular surfaces, contrasts and small details waiting to be discovered.

The texture catches the light in ever-changing ways, creating shifting shadows throughout the day. Whether displayed on its own or alongside other pieces from the collection, each object brings character and depth to its surroundings.

The story of a collection remains open over time. It can grow with new pieces, small series, or unique creations born from research and experimentation. It can also be enriched by details and collaborations that expand and continue its narrative.
